I survived last night, don't worry. Only my right eye is frozen shut. That's my blind eye anyway, so all is well. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow, it's going to be around 25 or so...
Other than that, this week has been marked by Clint Eastwood movies. I always thought he was extremely boring. I was right. But I now realize that that's what's good about him. It's all about context.

It's cold. VERY cold. But I'm alive, just no internet service. I'll try to keep you updated.

First nights in new apartments are always exciting. Because you'll gain deeper insight into the life of the building, the previous tenant, the neighbors and the block you are on. In this case: the regular tenant is a cello and guitar playing motorcyclist who does alterations on the side and is currently away on a construction job in New Orleans. Amazing how well you can utilize space for storage. The apartment is about 120 squarefeet and contains 2 vcrs, 3 TVs 2 turntables and several cd player, tapedeck, antique radio, amplifiers and about 100 tapes, 200 VHS tapes, 1000 CDs and 2000 records. Everybody is talking about the cold, but I was sweating all night next to the uncontollable steamradiotor from hell (or near there). I found out that the timebomb is actually a gigantic Diner clock in the kitchen, I hope to find a way to destroy before I explode.

I am going to really review cultural things from now on....
I just saw The Battle of Algiers. It's obvious why it's released now. This portraits the terrorist organization FLN fighting French colonial forces in Algiers. Good movie, sure. But it doesn't give you a break, no b-plot or deviation from the fight against the supressors. All war, terror, death, defeat, victory. Tactics versus military action. Screened by the Pentagon..... Maybe the Pentagon was watching it, because they thought they could learn something from the French. Quite possibly.....

I just saw The Beguiled, Clint Eastwood movie. Utterly sick and perverted, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

In the attempt to find milk in NY that ISN'T Parmalat (no easy feat at times) I discovered Low Carb Milk. That's a new one, gotta try it some time. Does it have anything to do with the carborator?

I decided to go ahead and do it. I ignored the strandtest, the allergy test and the ABSOLUTELY NO METAL! warning and successfully colored the sink, the floor, my hands and my pajamas an attractive greenish dark turquois. If you look closely you might find that some of my hair has a hint of dark turquois in it as well, but you need to look pretty close.....
Maybe it's because I didn't apply heat while the stuff was on my head. But they said not to use an oven or microwave as a heat source, so what was I supposed to do????
