I'm posting from Seoul. This is a real city, I feel great relief. Got stuck in an Anti Iraq Troop demonstration yesterday. Biggest problem is the 11pm curfew, I'm staying at the Women's College Dormatory. Don't know how the girls do it.. Now it will be exciting to find out how to get back to Busan in time for my class....

The dinner with Dr. Choi had some side-effects. He was ready today with a piece of paper that strongly suggested I eat 1) less food (quantity appropriate to my size) and 2) chew each bite 30 times. He wasn't too impressed by my missing teeth-excuse.
This may not come as a surprise to those who know me.

After working out with Professor Dev for only a week I am truly starting to change physically. Someone who saw me from a distance yelled "Arnold!" when he saw me. It might also bew connected to the popsickles I'm eating......which reminds me, better get another one before it get's too late.

New disease in southern Sudan: Noddiing illness.
When children eat, they start nodding their heads, over the course of a few years they stop growing and become mentally retarded and die eventually. Nobody knows what it is.

People here are very respectful of my not drinking and after I've said it about 500 times they've almost stopped pressuring me. But that doesn't mean I'm left out, I'm still included in all party activities! So this weekend for example, I was taken to a bar where I was shown the 200 variations of the Bud-Whisky cocktail ( e.g. the twister, the golden ring, the love-variations....).
Yes, it IS Budweiser and Whisky. And yes, after variation 200, people DO start to get a tad tipsy.

But I feel like I'm finally starting to get a grip on understanding Korean culture....
