I must say, if you do need to go to graduate school, come to the Graduate School of Digital Design in Pusan. The set up is better than at NYU, there are beaches nearby, the people are friendly, the food is good and I teach there. Next week I'll tell you about all the other stuff:
plague, SARS, yakuza, radiation sickness.....

Either the seats on Korean Airlines have gotten smaller or the Koreans have gotten bigger...
I made it. Now in Pusan. Not sure where I left my brain, maybe I'll look for it at the beach....

The temperature has dropped from 100+ to 50. After I've been complaining about the horrible heat for the longest time, it suddenly became Fall, if not Winter. I think I caught a cold.

What a great site:
CDC Travelers' Health
Found out that Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome is endemic in Korea. Also found out that Travellers to Europe should beware of the plague. The page also reminded me of my prolonged stay in London, eating beef like mad....
But Charles said it was safe. I heard him.

So many diseases to think about....

recognize him?

I just went to check out the Stadtfest Aschaffenburg. No comment. But there were political party stands and in Germany there are always some freebees to be had there. But upon closer investigation I was able to identify the man behind the SPD stand as my former psychiatrist--- the man who diagnosed me as schizophrenic and treated me with Haldol.....
I escaped quickly. It's been many years, but I'm sure it was him. He is about 7 feet tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. He has a huge protruding nose and a bald spot on one side of his head. Anydoubts I might have had were eliminated when he started to speak with his familiar lisp.
Back then he strongly recommended I don't have kids and offered abortion assistance should something happen. He also assured me that the cramps in my toungue, esophagus and eyes were uncomfortable, but not life threatening. Great guy.
Glad he didn't see me....
