Honestly, I've never seen as many local and not-so-local powerfailures in any other country. I've lost quite a few tapes(back in the days when video editing was done on tapes) when the power failed in the middle of a dissolve. That was in San Francisco and I attributed it to the city having a BLACK mayor by the name of BROWN. But not even cities with shiny white mayors named Bloomberg are safe.

Canada certainly made it clear that they are not at fault. Of course. There are only just looting.

My new hero

The hotwheather climate is charged with political electricity. Arnold in California (we've had good luck with Austrian Terminators before!) and Landtagswahlen in Germany. Every week another potential Landtagsabgeordneter shows up, with or without Blasmusik, depending on the Party. Strange discussions are going on about old people getting new hipjoints. I think that the 23 year olds who now say they shouldn't might one day regret their decission. When they are 85, I mean. I was talking to my mother about it, who told me that no one in her family has ever needed one anyway. But then I realized that I was born with coxarthrosis, meaning that my hips are shot already. (My mother: "Don't worry, you won't be 85!". She always manages to say just the right thing).
Man is frail and this weather is making me realize just how frail man is. And I wish people would use deodorant more frequently.
