EMINEM SHOW:
Upon first listening to Eminem's new album, questions arose paired with slight dissapointment. Upon further investigation, as a continuation of his previous record the format is appropriate and there certainly are delightful moments to be found as well. But the question remains:Has Eminem grown up? Problematic for his current career trajectory if answered "yes". Problematic for his person if answered "no".

The application deadline for EMARE is approaching rapidly. I guess I'll let it go, I don't relate to European style enough to write a satisfactory proposal....I think they'll want some old/new type thing, a video installation of Vikings in front of the yard where King Harald was burried. Or a new laptop with live processed images of an old house inside the old house....
Maybe next year for me. Here is the website and application, email me if you know what to do.

NYC ART NEWS: The Run in Chelsea at the Whitebox Gallery is catering to the canines of the artworld as well as the owners. Until June 1.2002 dogs are welcome in the gallery for an opportunity to view the latest in Urban Doghouse Design. Last night's opening featured the urban dog in all manifestations, from audience to subject matter, artist to hotdog. The doghouse design competition examplefied the delicate nature of the Urban Canine and the importance to cater to its needs without neglecting the needs of its human companion. This exhibition is strongly recommended for doglovers, chessplayers and architects.
