McDonalds

Tonight they actually served me at my table...I love that place!

I am also fascinated with the Q&A section of their UK website
http://www.makeupyourownmind.co.uk/

Some of my favorites:

18. Is it true that you use semean to hold the burger together?

No. McDonald's burgers are formed from 100 percent beef (no additives, no preservatives) and frozen into individual burger patties before it's supplied to our restaurants. The beef patties are cooked, without added fat or oil, between hot plates that cook the patties from both sides - a similar cooking process to the grilling machines that are sold in a variety of kitchenware stores. Then they get seasoned with salt and pepper. To find out exactly what ingredients are in each McDonald's menu item, use the 'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. (November 2007)

134. is it true that your burgers are made up off the unwanted parts of the cow eg testiclas, eye balls.

No. All McDonald’s hamburgers are made of beef. Nothing else. Just 100 percent beef, made from whole cuts of forequarter and flank (similar to the mince you'd buy in the supermarket). All that’s added is a pinch of salt and pepper after cooking. The beef is sourced from over 16,000 British and Irish farms, and at times of high demand, from farms in other European Union countries. All these farms produce to the same industry leading standards, and McDonald’s is able to trace exactly which farms our beef comes from, the farmers' names and how the animals were reared.

16. Why is it all of your burgers look like they have been sat on?

Occasionally buns can look a bit squashed because of the way they have been toasted or the way in which they're packaged. McDonald's does everything they can to try and make sure this doesn't happen. If you are not satisfied with the way your burger looks please return it and ask for another one.

40. How long does it take you to cook your burgers?, and do you spit in them.

It takes approximately two minutes to cook a Quarter Pounder and just less than a minute to cook a regular Hamburger. It is not true that McDonald's employees spit in the burgers, or any food item. Food hygiene and safety is taken very seriously at McDonald's. All staff are trained in food safety and hygiene, and this training continues throughout their employment.

48. is it true that you put a special gum in your food to make your customers feel full when they have just eaten and then about an hour later you get hungary again?

No, this is not the case. McDonald's food is just that - food. There are no secret ingredients and no special gums that make you feel full. McDonald's uses only quality ingredients, similar to those used in products sold in the supermarket.

10. Is it true that you use pimple jucie in your Burgers?

No, this is not true. A breakdown of the ingredients for every McDonald's food item is available for download in the 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk, and on the back of tray liners in restaurants. (September 2007)
