Whistling Dixie
Yesterday I had a discussion with a New Orleans native on the respective goals of the American KKK and the German NPD (not too many similarities). I couldn't help it, but I suddenly found myself adding to the awkwardness of the discussion by repeatedly using the expression "you ain't whistling Dixie". I just couldn't help myself. Maybe he didn't notice....
However, I was very happy to find Wikipedia Whistling Dixie. It loops automatically, I've been letting it whistle on all day.
And I wish I was in Dixie. Hooray! Hooray!

It's pretty clear that you need to move to Richmond and live here for the rest of your life.
Imagine you and I hummng Dixie and other lovely tunes of that wondrous bygone era, while we look up, tears in our eyes, at the monuments to Stonewall Jackson, General Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis.
The heart stirs!
Yes, a truly lovely picture....
nothing stays the same, of course, the Republicans are losing the house and no Dixie in the world can help them now....
